If Trustworthy Reads a Document Incorrectly

Edited

Trustworthy reads your documents automatically and pulls out details like names, dates, and account numbers. Most of the time it gets this right. Occasionally it doesn't — usually when a document is a photocopy, a fax, an older form, or a photo taken in low light.

Here's what to do.

Send a Clearer Copy

A fresh photo or scan is the thing most likely to change the result. Uploading the very same file again will generally produce the same reading, so it's worth capturing a new one rather than retrying the original.

When you do, lay the document flat, use good even lighting, avoid shadows across the page, and make sure the whole form is inside the frame.

Or Correct the Details Yourself

You don't have to re-upload at all. Every detail Trustworthy extracts can be edited. Open the file, review the details in the panel, and change anything that's wrong — including who the document belongs to.

If the document belongs to a person who doesn't have a page yet, create that page first in Family or Contacts, and then point the document at them.
