Managing Multiple Households/Family Member's Information

Edited

Many Trustworthy users are managing the information for multiple family members and some of those family members may not live in their actual home. Here are strategies for managing multiple family member's information across multiple households.

Option 1: Everyone's information in one account.

Most heads of the household choose to add all member's of the family to the Family ID section. As you upload files you can label them using the family member's name.

For example, if multiple members of the family own multiple housing properties or car, you might distinguish your family car from your mother's by labeling it "Mom- Toyota Sienna" or "Dad's California Summer Home"

Using naming conventions to differentiate items makes them easily visible and searchable.

Option 2: Collaborating with family members

Managing everyone's information in one account can get messy, especially if each family member has multiple bank accounts, properties, insurance policies, etc. If a member or members of the family have complex data that clearly needs it's own space, they should sign up for their own Trustworthy account. If they still want you to manage their information they can invite you as a full access collaborator.

The collaboration feature will allow you to switch between multiple households with ease, ensuring you can keep all your family's documents secure and conveniently accessible.
