Managing Trustworthy for Aging Parents
February 11 2025 8:46pmMany Trustworthy users are looking to organize the affairs of older family members like parents. Trustworthy is built with family in mind, allowing an unlimited amount of collaborators and seamless navigation through multiple accounts. In this article, we'll review the two primary strategies for managing someone else's data in Trustworthy.
Invite Yourself to Your Parents' Account as a Collaborator
The simplest way to use Trustworthy for your parents is to open an account with their name and email. Then you or your parent can invite you as a Full Access collaborator, allowing you to manage their data using your own email to log in.
Once you accept their invite, you can switch between their dashboard and your own. See more below:
Add Family ID Cards for Your Parents
A second option for managing your parents' data is to add a Family ID for them and mix their documents in with yours using a naming convention. For example, you may add "Mom- Birth Certificate" or "Mom- Property Deed". When you use our search tool located at the top right corner of the screen, you'll be able to find everything labeled "Mom".
You can then add your parent as a collaborator to your account and give them "Partial Access" in the event you don't want them to be able to view all of your information. Learn more about partial access below.
