Managing Contacts in Trustworthy

Edited

Keeping your household organized starts with making sure the right people—and companies—are connected to the right parts of your Family Operating System®.

This guide shows you how to add contacts, import them from other platforms, and connect them across categories like Property, Finance, Insurance, and more.

What Is a Contact in Trustworthy?

A contact can be either a person or a company.

Examples of people include:

  • A family member

  • An accountant

  • An emergency contact

Examples of companies include:

  • Your utility provider

  • A landscaper

  • An insurance broker

Contacts help keep everything in one place.

For example, you might link your snow removal service to a vacation home, or your wealth advisor to your investment accounts.

Importing Contacts From Other Apps

You can import existing contacts from other platforms, including:

  • Google Contacts

  • Outlook

  • Apple Contacts

To import contacts:

  1. Export your contacts as a .VCF or .VCard file from your current provider.

  2. Sign in to your Trustworthy account to upload the file with either of these options:

  • Click Add in the left panel and choose Contact

  • Navigate to the Contacts category and choose Import Contact from the blue + menu.

This is a quick way to populate your household contacts without starting from scratch.

Add a New Contact, Manually

There are two other ways to add a contact.

From the Contacts Category - Manual Entry

  1. Navigate to the Contacts category in your account.

  2. Click Add Contact.

  3. Fill in the details for your contact, such as name, phone number, email, and notes.

Note that Trustworthy even offers you options here to set reminders, add notes, and attach files relevant to this contact.

Linking Contacts Across Categories

Once added, contacts can be linked throughout your system.

Examples include:

  • Linking your financial advisor to the Finance category

  • Adding your estate planner to a trust in the Legal category

  • Connecting your part-time CFO to an LLC in the Business category

This makes information easier to find quickly—especially in emergencies or when sharing access with collaborators.

Simply:

  1. Navigate to a category such as Property or Finance.

  2. Select Connections.

  3. Choose Add and type to search for your Contact.
